Calvin Coolidge was the 30th President of the United States, serving from 1923 to 1929. He became President following the sudden death of President Warren G. Harding and was known for his reserved and stoic personality. He was a member of the Republican Party and during his presidency, the economy experienced a period of prosperity known as the "Roaring Twenties." Coolidge also signed the Indian Citizenship Act, which granted citizenship to all Native Americans born within the territorial limits of the United States. He did not run for re-election in 1928.
