Zeno of Citium was a Greek philosopher and founder of the Stoic philosophy. He was born in Citium, Cyprus in 334 BCE and studied under various philosophers before developing his own teachings. Zeno believed that the key to a happy and virtuous life was to accept whatever happens, as it was beyond our control. He taught that by practicing self-control and living in accordance with nature, one could achieve inner peace. He was also known for his "Zeno's paradoxes," which dealt with the concept of infinity and the infinite divisibility of space and time.
