Samuel Adams was a statesman, political philosopher, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He was a leader of the movement that became the American Revolution, and one of the architects of the principles of American republicanism that shaped the political culture of the United States. He was a second cousin to President John Adams. He was a key figure in the Boston Tea Party, and also served as a member of the Continental Congress. He died on October 2, 1803, but his legacy and contributions to the American Revolution continue to be celebrated and remembered today.
