H.P. Lovecraft was an American writer and poet, best known for his works of horror and science fiction. He was born in 1890 in Providence, Rhode Island, and began writing at a young age. His most famous works include "The Call of Cthulhu" and "At the Mountains of Madness." He was a master of creating atmosphere and his stories often dealt with the themes of cosmic horror, the unknown and the fear of the unknown. Lovecraft's work has had a significant influence on the horror and science fiction genres, and many of his stories have been adapted into films, television shows and video games. He died in 1937.
